Details for the game are scant right now. We know that it will feature a new setting and if the game’s playtest signup page is any indication, Heartland will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in addition to PC.
However, there’s no confirmation – or even small details, for that matter – regarding the game’s genre, though it’s a safe bet shooting will be involved.
Red Storm studio is at the helm of The Division Heartland, and has previously worked on not only The Division and The Division 2, but also other games in the Tom Clancy franchise as far back as 1997, said Ubisoft. Other credits for the North Carolina-based Red Storm include Far Cry 4 and Star Trek: Bridge Crew.
It’s unclear when Ubisoft will share more information on Heartland, though we may hear more about the game at E3 in June or during the second edition of the Summer Game Fest.
Alongside Heartland, Ubisoft said it’s working on a mobile Division game, though there are zero details on that title as of this writing, except that it exists. On top of all that, more content is coming to The Division 2, there’s a new Division novel in the works, and Netflix has picked up a movie based on The Division.
