Scheduled to release later this year, the Tower of Oannes DLC will pit players against a whole new set of combat and puzzle challenges to overcome that will give even those who have cleared the Hell Temple a run for their money.
Those who are up for the trials to be faced in the Tower of Oannes will need to complete the base game first to be prepared for what’s in store in the first DLC in the series.
If you haven’t taken the dive into the brain-tickling world of La-Mulana just yet, the second game is a fair place to start and publisher Playism have put the game on sale until May 22. Be warned, though: La-Mulana 2 isn’t your typical Metroidvania.
The La-Mulana titles have a heavy focus on problem-solving and exploration, with the games requiring a keen eye, patience, and a notepad on hand to take notes. This is wrapped up in a lovely bundle of pixel visuals, varied boss battles, and soundtracks that has no business being as good as they are.
Look for the Tower of Oannes DLC for La-Mulana 2 later this year. If you haven’t dipped your toes in the pool just yet and the description above sounds like your cup of tea, consider picking it up over this sale. It either is your thing or it isn’t, but if it is, it really really is.
